For product development of motor, we require durability test for 10,000 times and the balancing test for motor shaft to ensure motors’ reliability. Next, we will carry out polarity and hole position tests before we ship them out to your customers. Durable and Motor Shaft Balance Test
Our durability test involves subjecting the window regulator motor to 10,000 cycles, equivalent to 3 up/down movements every day for 10 years. Please see the report on the right. This refers to the stability of the motor working for going up and down from 2000 times to 10,000 times. The line charts depict the electric current. As evident from the chart, the electric current remains stable even after 10,000 cycles, demonstrating that the motor has successfully passed the test with high-quality performance.
Furthermore, we conduct a balancing examination on motor shaft. As a center of energy conversion, we do not allow tolerance for any mistakes on the shaft, which the tolerance is only accepted within +/- 1mm. If there are any tiny errors on the length or angle of motor shaft, the motor can’t work smoothly and result in producing noises while working. Therefore, with the balance test on motor shaft, we can assure the motor works smoothly and quietly.
Polarity Test and Hole Position
In addition to the precise inspection while development, Pan Taiwan also carry out a series of quality check on the finished motor-polarity test, and appearance test for hole position. To ensure the correct of the shipment, we will double check the sides of motor by its polarity. Since that they are right and left side of window regulator, the different sides of window regulator will have its matching motor. Therefore, the polarity test can help us confirm if the motor is consistent with its specification.
Next, we will also run a quality by comparing with the OE sample of the motor. The hole position of the motor must be consistent to the original motor so that it can match with the window regulator. Among every 1000 pieces of motor, we will carry out 5-6 pieces of motor to ensure their quality. If needed, all the test reports are available to our customer for quality confirmation.
